Compressed Gas to be Sold by the Kilogram

The National Assembly approved, with 107 votes in favor, the draft law on amending the "Tax Code of the Republic of Armenia" in its second reading.

The purpose of the draft is to revise the tax base for the excise tax on compressed natural gas.

It is proposed to replace the measurement unit used for the excise tax assessment of compressed natural gas from 1000 cubic meters to 1 ton, while recalculating the excise tax rate accordingly.
