I Propose to Also Call the Drought Situation, KACHAL: Surenyans Responds to Ashotyan’s Statement

“I propose to also call the drought situation KACHAL,” said Gagik Surenyans, head of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations' meteorological service, on his Facebook page, referring to the recent statement by Armen Ashotyan regarding the authorities.

It should be noted that the vice president of the Republican Party of Armenia, Armen Ashotyan, wrote on his Facebook page:

“It turns out that the draft law to declare ‘Citizen's Day’ is already being discussed in the National Assembly. Of course, it is a wonderful initiative, but it is somewhat incomplete. I repeat my proposal. Feel free to ‘copy-paste’ this as well.

I suggest that this government, like any self-respecting revolutionaries, completely review the calendar and introduce a new, revolutionary calendar. For example:

1. Eliminate the year of retreat because there cannot be a year of retreat in the New Armenia; all years must only be years of progress.
2. Rename the 12 months after the names of the 12 new ministries.
3. Replace the BC used before with AP.
4. Move the New Year celebration from January 1 to June 1 for obvious reasons.
5. Rename the four seasons: Spring to Proud, Summer to Happy, Autumn to Velvet, and Winter to Trash.
6. Eliminate all memorial days since no memory related to the past should remain in the New Armenia. NEW ARMENIA - NEW CALENDAR initiative.”
