Director of Spayka Detained as Employees Demand Meeting with Prime Minister

The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction has made a decision to detain Davit Ghazaryan, the director of Spayka company.

Around 500 employees of the company are conducting a protest outside the court building.

They state that they will not leave the court premises until Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan arrives.

“We demand the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and if he does not deign to come here, we will begin civil disobedience on a national scale,” said one of the participants in the protest.

It is worth noting that according to the State Revenue Committee's announcement, Spayka has failed to pay 7 billion AMD in customs duties and taxes resulting from its business activities.
