Police Investigates Illegal Hunting Photos

On April 4, the police department in Tashir prepared materials regarding photos posted by a social media user. In February 2018, the user uploaded a photo of themselves holding a steppe eagle, the hunting of which is prohibited. Furthermore, in a photo published by this individual in 2014, a rock partridge was visible, which is also not a hunting category and requires specific permission for hunting.

The same user also had publicly available photos of a dead marten, killed foxes, wolves, and various fish species.

On April 5, police officers identified the user as 22-year-old Armen Kh. from Norashen village, who was summoned to the department and provided explanations stating that he had hunted using a single-barreled shotgun belonging to his late grandfather.

As a result of the actions taken, Armen Kh. presented a single-barreled smoothbore shotgun of the "IZH" type to the police.

The shotgun has been packaged and sealed. A forensic examination has been commissioned.

Circumstances are under investigation.

An inquiry is underway.
