The Shooter in Malatia-Sebastia Captured
The Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia has initiated a criminal case in the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district regarding the incident of illegal possession of firearms and attempted murder.
According to preliminary data, on April 5, 2019, at around 08:10 AM, a report was received by the Malatia Police Department about gunshots heard from the yard of one of the buildings on Andranik Street in the South-Western neighborhood, with reports of an injured person.
An investigative-operational group immediately arrived at the scene.
It was established that a man born in 1979 from Yerevan, suffering from a gunshot wound, was transported to the “Astghik” Medical Center.
As a result of various investigative and procedural actions, several circumstances of the incident were clarified, including the motive and the identity of the person suspected of committing the crime, who is a 1962-born resident of Yerevan. He has now been apprehended by the Malatia Police Department.
The preliminary investigation into the criminal case is ongoing.
