Suspects Arrested for Armed Robbery in Armavir

Police officers from the Armavir regional department detained two individuals on April 3, 2023, in Armavir. The suspects are 21-year-old Sargis Abelyan, a resident of the village of Lenoghi in Armavir Province, and 18-year-old Hakob Khachatryan, a resident of Armavir city.

According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the suspects are accused of carrying out an armed robbery on March 21, 2023, against 49-year-old Karapet Margaryan and 35-year-old Laura Grigoryan, residents of house number 204 in the 107th neighborhood of Armavir city. They have been arrested by the order of the investigator.

On March 21, at around 8:10 PM, two masked individuals entered the house at 204 in the 107th neighborhood of Armavir, one armed with a rifle and the other with a pistol. The homeowner, 49-year-old Karapet Margaryan, attempted to resist, which resulted in shots being fired, and the two suspects fled the scene. A criminal case has been initiated in the Armavir regional investigative department for the offenses of armed robbery and illegal possession, storage, and use of weapons and ammunition.
