Samuel Mayrapetyan Undergoes Surgery for the Fourth Time in Germany

Businessman Samuel Mayrapetyan, who is accused of facilitating bribery, underwent his fourth surgery in Germany at the beginning of February. His lawyer Karen Batikyan stated this in an interview with NEWS.am, noting that it is unclear when his client will complete his course of treatment and return to Armenia.

As previously reported, on January 24, the Special Investigation Service of Armenia approved a request from businessman Samuel Mayrapetyan's attorney, allowing him to leave the country. The measure of restraint previously applied to Mayrapetyan had been changed to a personal guarantee.

Personal guarantees for the businessman were provided by prominent neurosurgeon Professor Ruben Fanarjyan and Father Vahram Melikyan, the spokesperson for His Holiness Garegin II, the Supreme Patriarch of the Armenian Apostolic Church.
