Drunk Driver Crashes into Residential Home in Yerevan, Making It Uninhabitable

An extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan today, April 2nd. Around 21:00, 37-year-old Vahe Martirosyan crashed his KIA vehicle with license plate 01 AM 044 into house number 17 on Shahamiryan Street.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a significant portion of the house collapsed due to the impact. The emergency medical team that arrived swiftly on site provided necessary assistance to the children inside the house, after which five individuals were transported to the hospital.

The driver underwent sobriety testing on-site, revealing that he was highly intoxicated. The police are investigating the full details of the driver and the injured persons. The house, including its walls and ceiling, has become completely uninhabitable, and the children were playing in that area when the driver crashed his KIA into the residence.
