Major Accident with Injuries on the Hovtashen-Mkhchyan Highway

On March 31, at 20:18, the emergency service received a report about a traffic accident in the village of Mkhchyan, Ararat Province, with injuries reported. Rescue services were requested.

A firefighting and rescue team was dispatched from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to the scene.

It was determined that at the 1st km of the Hovtashen-Mkhchyan highway, an Opel Astra vehicle (driver H.H., born in 1994) had veered off the roadway and ended up in a ditch (active).

Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, H.H. and the passengers, V. (born in 1977) and G. T. (born in 1981), were helped out of the vehicle by citizens.

The rescuers assisted V. and G. T. to an ambulance. They were hospitalized at the Artashat Medical Center, where they received appropriate medical aid and were discharged afterward.
