Earth Hour Celebrated in Armenia Today
For the 11th consecutive year, Earth Hour is being celebrated in Armenia.
The initiative first began in Australia in 2007, and by 2008, 35 countries had joined the event. The objective of Earth Hour is to turn off the lights of major buildings in the country, thereby raising awareness about environmental issues.
It should be noted that as part of the global environmental initiative, today, on March 30, from 20:30 to 21:30, external lighting on major streets and buildings in Yerevan will be turned off. The program is aimed at combating climate change.
