Why Are Ashtarak Milk's Yogurts Moldy? The Company Clarifies
We do not use preservatives in our yogurts; our produced yogurts are organic, which is why they have a short shelf life. Consequently, there is a significant need to ensure that the temperature regime is not violated. This was stated by Ashtarak Milk company in a comment to Tert.am regarding complaints that the company supplies moldy yogurts to stores.
When asked about the proper storage conditions required to prevent spoilage, the company representatives noted that the temperature regime for storing different products varies, and the storage method is indicated on the packaging.
The media reported that there were concerns regarding yogurts with expiration dates from March 21 to April 3, 2019.
The company indicated that they keep all products on site and assured that the yogurts within those dates, which are stored under proper conditions, are in good condition. "Although the fault is not ours, we ask for the customers' understanding," the company stated.
