VIDEO: Cleaning Potatoes is Not Degrading for Prime Minister's Son, Says Pashinyan
Cleaning potatoes is not degrading for the Prime Minister's son. During a meeting with the Armenian community in Vienna, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement while discussing issues related to regulations within the Armenian Armed Forces.
“They used to say the army is our sacred institution, let’s not raise our issues too loudly. On the contrary, the army is our sacred institution, and that is why we need to cleanse it of negative phenomena. Are we afraid to speak about our children's relationships? Let me share a little secret: I was curious about how my son, who is serving in the army, is doing, whether he serves like the others. I ordered a secret report to find out how his service is going. I was pleased to see that he participates in all activities, including cleaning the military unit’s territory. As the Prime Minister of Armenia, if I bend down in the center of Yerevan to pick up cigarette butts, my son should also take a potato peeler and clean the area of the military unit, and it should be a source of pride, not humiliation,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
