PHOTO: Truck Traffic on Sevan-Dilijan Road Temporarily Halted

For over 3 hours now, traffic police officers have been conducting intensified services on the Sevan-Dilijan highway.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the heavy snowfall and blizzard that have persisted for several hours have made the Sevan-Dilijan road impassable.

In these conditions, traffic police are stationed outside and temporarily holding truck drivers in an open area near the well-known "Dovagugh" supermarket, allowing light vehicles to safely navigate.

In the winding roads of Dilijan, traffic police are escorting light vehicles, as the road conditions remain challenging. After being cleared by road maintenance, the blizzard and snow once again hinder drivers' ability to proceed.

The photographer reports that unfortunately, there are drivers whose vehicles are not equipped with winter tires, even though since the beginning of the year, both the traffic police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations have urged drivers to use only winter tires on their vehicles.
