Obstacles Created for Wheat Imports

The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that new obstacles have arisen regarding the import of wheat via overland routes through Georgia.

Transporters have been informed by the Georgian side that starting today, trucks loaded with wheat must weigh no more than 40 tons instead of 44 tons. This information was conveyed to "Zhamanak" during a conversation with transporters.

One transporter commented, "Strange and inexplicable conditions are being set for us. According to international standards for freight transport, the truck and its load must weigh 44 tons together. But now, overnight, Georgia has decided that the truck and its load must be 40 tons. Furthermore, this specifically applies to wheat."
