Dispute Between National Assembly Cleaners and 'Cleaners' Resolved: 9 Cleaners Left Employment, Funding Will Be Distributed Among Remaining 51

Out of 60 cleaners at the National Assembly, 9 have refused to renew their contract with the 'Cleaners' company, while 51 have agreed to extend their contracts and continue working. This was reported in an interview with one of the cleaners by Tert.am.

"It's better for us to stay inside the building and fight, rather than step out through these gates. Besides, we decided to stay until we find another job, so we won't be left without income," our interlocutor said.

The decision to continue working was made by the 51 cleaners this morning following a meeting with the director of the 'Cleaners' company, Garush Papikyan.

"He said he would fill the positions of those who refuse to extend their contracts, and that work would not be affected. We decided to stay because we don't have any other job, nor is there any condition changing that would make us think we could find another job. It’s possible that something might change in the meantime," she added.
