Attempt to Smuggle Drugs Prevented at Armenian-Iranian Border

Employees of the Russian Federal Security Service's border management within Armenia have prevented yet another attempt to smuggle drugs across the Armenian-Iranian border.

According to the press service of the Russian Federal Security Service's border management in Armenia, on March 26 at the Agarak checkpoint, during an inspection of a Tehran-Yerevan tourist bus using a service dog, two packages containing a dark brown substance were discovered.

To clarify all the details of the incident, the detected items and the relevant citizen were transferred to the officers of the Meghri division of the Armenian police in accordance with legal procedures.
