VIDEO. It’s State Racketeering: Drivers on the Armavir–Yerevan Route Protesting

Employees of the "Galactica Trans Service" company, which operates the Yerevan-Armavir route, have been staging a protest in front of the government building for the fourth consecutive day. The operation of the route has been temporarily suspended.

"No one has approached, no one is concerned about this situation; both the Yerevan-Armavir route and 'Galactica Trans Service' are under terror," said Shushan Khachatryan, the director of 'Galactica Trans Service', in a statement to journalists during the protest. According to her, the government is taking no action to prohibit illegal passenger transportations.

"These people have been here for four days, and no one thinks to come by, not even to lie to reassure people so they can go and wait again. Is this a situation? People pay taxes every month; taxpayers have been stopped in the street, turned into homeless, these people have been cut off from food and water, do they even consider that these people need to support their families?" she stated, characterizing the events as state racketeering.
