VIDEO: Pashinyan Has Not Yet Paid Off His Washing Machine Loan
In our house, everything like a refrigerator, washing machine, etc., we bought on credit. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in parliament.
“Very convenient loans are offered. By paying only 6,000 drams a month, you can acquire, say, a washing machine. The question arises: why give 300,000 drams at once if you can have a washing machine by only paying 6,000 drams a month? If I’m not mistaken, we haven’t finished paying off the loan for our washing machine yet,” said Pashinyan.
This prompted a response from the Speaker of the National Assembly, Ararat Mirzoyan. “Mr. Prime Minister, with the same logic, the other day I went to get a television, but they didn’t give me a loan because the Tax Inspectorate had put a lien on my account. I had an unpaid fine,” he said.
This statement caused laughter from the Prime Minister and those present.
“Tomorrow it will be written that you have political issues with Mr. Zeynalyan, and that’s why the Tax Inspectorate has put a lien on your accounts. So you said it in vain, you just introduced a new massive political intrigue that will be the subject of discussion in the coming six months,” Pashinyan said, questioning, “Moreover, did I say for them to put a lien, or did I not say?”
