Video: Girls' and Boys' Restrooms Not Separate in Schools, Human Rights Defender

The Office of the Human Rights Defender of Armenia has conducted monitoring in 201 schools and kindergartens, said Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan during a meeting with journalists today.

“The situation is concerning, and we hope that the government will consider this report as a mandatory basis for action,” he stated.

According to the Human Rights Defender, numerous cases have been recorded where there are no restrooms inside the building, and the restrooms for girls and boys are not separated.

“The situation is highly risky in terms of children being infected with contagious diseases,” he added.
