Threatened to Kidnap Children and Blow Up House: NSS

The National Security Service (NSS) has initiated a criminal case against 55-year-old Yerevan Galstyan, the guard of a school in the village of Norashen, Ararat Province, under Article 182, Part 3, Subsection 2 of the RA Criminal Code. This information was reported by Shamshyan.com.

In February of this year, Galstyan attempted to extort $50,000 from his fellow villager, 42-year-old Vahik Ghazaryan, through a letter. In the letter, he threatened that if the money was not left in a specified location, he would kidnap Ghazaryan's children and then blow up his house.

According to sources, NSS officers located Galstyan, and he was subsequently arrested.

Vahik Ghazaryan is the director of AVA-EVA LLC, which owns several cargo transport vehicles and engages in fruit exports.
