Favorable Conditions for Migrants to Armenia

The newspaper "Zhamanak" reports that the government is planning to amend the Law on Customs Regulations to allow Armenian and foreign citizens, as well as stateless individuals coming to Armenia for permanent residency, to bring their personal property with more favorable conditions.

Under current legislation, a person arriving for permanent residency in Armenia is defined as someone who has lived outside of Armenia for the last five years. However, with the new regulations, this period will be reduced to one year.
