Employees of Avshar Flour Factory Not Beaten, Police Say

The police have denied claims made by Gurgen Nikoghosyan, the owner of the "Modus Granum" holding, that officers from the police's 6th division terrorized his employees, even stating that they beat a person during the interrogation.

"Such an incident did not occur, but if a citizen insists that they were beaten, they can file a report and appropriate measures will be taken," a representative from the police's press department told Tert.am.

Recall that yesterday, in an interview with Tert.am, Gurgen Nikoghosyan mentioned that 12 employees of the police's 6th division conducted operations at the Armash flour factory.

"Using all available means through the local precinct in Vedi and village heads, my employees were taken for interrogation after work until 10:30 p.m. They were unprotected and were terrorized, with claims that a person was beaten during the interrogation. They were told, 'We have accurate information, if you do not write correctly now, we will confiscate 2.5 million from you, your friend has already been taken to the 6th division, etc. In that room, they can write anything, they are 'fabricating' a case,'" Gurgen Nikoghosyan stated.

Later, the police issued a clarification regarding the actions of the 6th division employees at the "Armash Flour Factory", but did not address the owner's assertion that his employees were terrorized and subjected to beating.
