Azerbaijanis Hold Protest in One of Georgia's Villages

Azerbaijani residents in the village of Garajalari, located in Georgia's Telavi district, have staged a protest. According to Minval.az, the demonstration was held against the sale of pastures to private individuals.

The protesters declared that their only source of income comes from livestock, and there are no alternative fields for grazing.

They stated that prior to the presidential elections, it was announced that 16 hectares of pasture would be allocated to the village of Garajalari, but later these lands were sold to private individuals.

The protest continued into the evening hours. Participants have stated that if the issue is not resolved, they will continue their demonstrations.
