VIDEO: Extremists Attack Law Enforcement After Protest in Ingushetia
Approximately 10 employees of the OMON have sustained injuries of varying degrees following a protest in Magas. This has been reported by local media outlets citing medical sources.
Provocateurs have been identified as those behind the attacks, who released statements demanding the retraction of a bill concerning the "Referendum of the Republic of Ingushetia" following an approved rally that ended.
It is noteworthy that the country's leader, Yunus-bek Yevkurov, had sent the bill back to parliament, prompting public discussions.
According to media reports, the rally took place without incidents; however, after its conclusion, extremists attempted to provoke conflict despite peaceful calls from law enforcement for dispersing the crowd.
