Vehicle Collides with Barriers and Flips Over in Aragatsotn: Injuries Reported

A major car accident occurred today, the 27th, in the Aragatsotn region. At around 11:40, the driver of an Opel vehicle with license plate 627 AD 61 lost control on the 21 km section of the Yerevan-Gyumri highway within the territory of Ashtarak. The car veered off the traffic lane, crashed into iron barriers, continued forward before colliding with debris, and flipped over, reports Shamshyan.com.

As a result of the accident, the driver and a passenger sustained injuries and were taken to local medical facilities: one to Ashtarak Medical Center and the other to the Armenia Medical Center. Doctors are currently fighting to save the victims' lives.

The police and investigation division are working to establish the identities of the driver and the injured passenger.
