State Revenue Committee Has 'Cheated' an Entrepreneur Out of 3 Million; The Entrepreneur Seeks Compensation

A citizen, Gayane Kirakosyan, has reached out to the editorial staff of the newspaper 'Armenian Time'. Kirakosyan owns a private enterprise that specializes in the production of stamps.

The entrepreneur recounted that months ago, employees of the Procurement Division of the State Revenue Committee, Hasmik Durgaryan and Marianna Vanyan, called the company and verbally ordered 756 stamps and 86 round seals. After receiving the order, the company prepared the required quantity of seals and delivered them to the Procurement Division of the State Revenue Committee, where the aforementioned employees signed and accepted the order.

According to Kirakosyan, after that, the State Revenue Committee announced a competition for seals and stamps through an auction process. However, the company was unable to participate in this competition because their password had been blocked for technical reasons. 'Another company won the competition, and we were told, ‘come pick up your stamps and seals; we have reprimanded our employees,’ Kirakosyan stated.

She noted that the stamps and seals were not returned and she demanded a compensation of 3 million drams for the work done, but to this day, the State Revenue Committee has not taken any steps to resolve the issue.

Kirakosyan explained that the seals were prepared for customs and tax services. Now, she is demanding compensation of 3 million drams for the production of the seals: 'We would not have made those stamps and seals if there had not been an order. We incurred expenses due to their fault, so let them compensate it,' she said.
