City Hall Does Not Deny Malatia-Sebastia Mayor's Lack of Higher Education

The press secretary of Yerevan Mayor Hakob Karapetyan did not deny in an interview with "PastiInfo" that the head of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district lacks higher education.

"There is a relevant article for performing public service, which does not require higher education," noted Karapetyan, commenting on a post by David Khajakyan, head of the Yerevan Council's "Loush" alliance, which stated that David Karapetyan does not have higher education, thus questioning his right to hold the position of district head.

In response to a media question about whether Khajakyan was familiar with the legislation when making his post, the press secretary remarked, "You can also study the legislation yourself and confirm whether such a requirement exists or not," Karapetyan observed.
