Arrest of a Colleague in Connection with the Death of a Junior Sergeant

On March 26, 2019, around 18:30, in the territory of the former military unit N, a criminal case was opened regarding the fatal incident involving conscript soldiers Junior Sergeant Ara Gevorgi Arakelyan and Junior Sergeant Andranik Komitas Koshkyan, who sustained gunshot wounds to the left wrist.

According to the press service of the Investigative Committee, during the investigation of the criminal case, a colleague of the victims was arrested on suspicion of committing a crime under Part 2, Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code.

Necessary investigative and procedural actions are being taken to ensure a comprehensive, complete, and objective examination of the incident.
