The Hearing on the Appeal Against the Reopening of the 'Bulki Arami' Case Has Been Postponed
The Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction is examining the appeal filed by Araks Dilyan, another defendant in the case against former Minister of Nature Protection Aram Harutyunyan, who is accused of receiving bribes in large amounts.
According to Factor.am, the court is debating whether it is lawful to renew proceedings based on newly discovered circumstances. It was these circumstances that led the Prosecutor's Office to revoke the decision to terminate criminal proceedings against an individual involved in the 2017 criminal case in June 2018.
The media reports that the session was postponed to allow for document review and is rescheduled for April 15.
It is worth noting that on January 18, the Yerevan Court of General Jurisdiction approved a motion from the Anti-Corruption Committee, resulting in a decision to arrest Aram Harutyunyan.
