Karen Hovhannisyan, who has been in pretrial detention, ended his hunger strike after 44 days following a visit from prosecutors. This was announced by Gor Abrahamyan, an advisor to the Armenian Prosecutor General, on his Facebook page.

During a meeting that lasted about 2.5 hours, all questions regarding Hovhannisyan's criminal case and the charges against him were discussed.

The prosecutors urged him to end his extreme measure that was detrimental to his health, and informed him that he could familiarize himself with the materials of the criminal case in accordance with the law. They also mentioned that if he had any objections or motions regarding the validity of the charges, he could present them to the prosecutor.
