Hemodialysis Device Imported for 62 Million, Supplied to Hospital for 171 Million: Revelation
The newspaper "Zhoghovurd" reports: "The Audit Chamber of Armenia has made new revelations, this time regarding the state institution of the Ministry of Health's "Office for the Implementation of Health Programs". During 2017-2018, medical equipment, furniture, and accessories worth 2 billion 418 million drams were supplied for the modernization of hospitals in Vanadzor, Sevan, and Artashat.
However, the Audit Chamber discovered that the price difference for the procurement and supply of these items amounted to 847 million 169 thousand drams. In other words, these supplies were delivered to the medical centers at a price exceeding 847 million drams. For example, the hemodialysis device and accessories, 15 units, were imported to Armenia by "Fresen" company for 62 million 322 thousand drams, but they were supplied to the Vanadzor hospital for 171 million drams."
