Children Evicted from Home: Details on the 12-Year-Old Injured in the ‘RAF’ Incident

Information has emerged regarding the children who tragically lost their lives in a fire in the city of Vedi, Ararat Province, on Saturday. It has been reported that they were homeless, which was cited as the reason they were sleeping in a burning vehicle, according to Hraparak.am.

The head of the Public Relations Department of the Ararat regional administration stated to Hraparak.am that the children were not homeless: “There are six children, and they did not sleep in the vehicle regularly. The mother clarified that they had been sleeping at a neighbor’s house that day; the girl had a fight with the neighbor's child, felt upset, and went to sleep in the car.”

The family found themselves outside on March 14 due to debts, and the Judicial Acts Enforcement Service confiscated their apartment. Following this, the family turned to the Masis municipality, where they were provided with temporary accommodation. According to the spokesperson, during that period, the family moved half of their belongings to the temporary shelter and still had some remaining, and they were spending the night at the neighbor’s house.
