Chain Reaction Car Accident in Yerevan Leaves 7 Injured

Today, on March 25, a major chain reaction car accident occurred in Yerevan. At around 9:30 AM, vehicles collided on the new Saralanj road, including an Infiniti with the license plate 20 NA 011, an Opel with the license plate 35 ZX 315, a Nissan Sentra with the license plate 40 OO 400, and a Toyota Vitz with the license plate 34 MN 212.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, 7 individuals, including 3 children, suffered injuries and were transported to hospitals; the children were taken to Arabkir Medical Center, while the adults were taken to the University Hospital No. 1.

The children were transported by a team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations' Rescue Service, led by the on-duty physician, while 5 of the injured were extracted from the vehicles by rescuers. Responders, medical personnel, and traffic police acted promptly, as well as citizens who assisted the rescuers in helping the injured.

The police are currently investigating the identities of the drivers and the injured. The Nissan and Toyota Vitz vehicles were reduced to metal scraps.
