12-Year-Old Girl with Burns Has Emerged from Shock; 50% Burns Diagnosed

A 12-year-old girl hospitalized with burns from the city of Masis has emerged from shock, but her condition remains serious. This was stated by Karine Babayan, head of the Burn Treatment Department at the Republican Scientific Center of Radiation Medicine and Burns, in an interview with NEWS.am.

According to her, the girl is in the second phase of burn disease and is connected to a ventilator. After evaluation and reassessment, doctors diagnosed her with 50% body burns, including damage to her airways. The burns are classified as first, second, and third degree.

Earlier, it was reported that the 12-year-old girl lived in a "RAF" vehicle with her brother. They do not have a permanent residence. The girl sustained her burns when the car caught fire.
