Soldiers Clash Due to Pushing: Case Reaches Court

The mandatory conscription servicemen of the RA Ministry of Defense N military unit have been charged, with the preliminary investigation completed and sent to the court in the Armavir region.

Tert.am learned from the Judicial Information System that conscript soldier H. G. has been argued to have engaged in a dispute with fellow conscript A. Z., due to offensive remarks made against him and pushing. During the altercation, H. G. physically assaulted A. Z., causing him physical pain. H. G. has been charged under Article 359, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code.

A. Z. has been charged for his actions on December 12, 2018, in the corridor of the restroom adjacent to the educational hall of the military unit, violating the internal service regulations of the RA Armed Forces under Articles 13, 16, 65, and 158, and the Code of Conduct for Military Personnel under Article 3. In the absence of hierarchical relationships, A. Z. confronted H. G. and made offensive remarks, during which he hit H. G. in the face, causing bodily harm that does not amount to light injury.

He too has been charged under Article 359, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. A preventive measure has been determined by assigning them to the custody of command supervision.
