Marutyan Brings Not Only His Wife but Also Friends to the Municipality

According to the newspaper "Iravunk", there have been reports in the media indicating that Yerevan Mayor Hayk Marutyan's wife, Ivana, a Czech national, was spending the entire day at the municipality since her husband was elected mayor. However, it was suggested to her that it seemed inappropriate, and now she only visits the municipality after work hours.

According to the same sources, she is performing the duties of a consultant or assistant to the mayor, meeting various people, negotiating with them, and discussing various issues. We inquired about the accuracy of these reports directly from Hayk Marutyan. Although he denied that his wife was acting as a consultant or assistant, he confirmed that he brings not only his wife to the municipality.

"Of course, there is no such thing. All interested parties—my friends, regular citizens, anyone who can be of help—come here and are helpful. We welcome everyone; these people, who possess certain knowledge, provide that knowledge free of charge for the benefit of our community," confessed Yerevan's mayor.
