Father of Karen Ghazaryan Convicted in Azerbaijan Meets With Azerbaijani Border Violator

On March 22, the father of Armenian citizen Karen Ghazaryan, who is currently under Azerbaijani jurisdiction and has been sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment, Armen Ghazaryan, visited Elvin Arif Oglu Hibragimov, an Azerbaijani citizen who crossed the Armenian state border on March 16.

This information was announced by the inter-agency commission dealing with the issues of Armenian prisoners, hostages, and missing persons.

During the conversation with the Azerbaijani border violator, A. Ghazaryan inquired about his health and psychological condition. Elvin Arif Oglu Hibragimov informed Karen Ghazaryan's father about the conditions of his detention and the medical care he has received, mentioning that Armenian doctors have shown a caring attitude towards him.

During the meeting, K. Ghazaryan's father shared his son's story, who similarly found himself lost a year ago and ended up under Azerbaijani jurisdiction but was unjustly sentenced to imprisonment based on fabricated charges by the Azerbaijani authorities.

Karen Ghazaryan's father wished Elvin Hibragimov a swift recovery.
