Director Realizes Collaborative Work Is Failing at Avshar School, Says Deputy Director
Today, a meeting was held at Avshar School where director Hermine Andreasyan acknowledged that collaborative work is not feasible. This was stated by the school's deputy director, Regina Simonian, in an interview with Tert.am.
“The teachers told the director that our collaborative work is not working. I believe she also realized that collaboration simply isn't possible because there is no dialogue happening,” she said.
Simonian noted that no possible solutions were discussed, and everything has been left to the director's discretion. “Right now, there are no decisions made, we don’t know what will happen, but our position hasn’t changed—we will not work with the director,” she added.
She further emphasized that the educational process has not been restored at the school, and students continue to refrain from attending classes.
It is worth recalling that since March 12, students at Avshar Secondary School have been on strike, demanding the resignation of the newly appointed director, Hermine Andreasyan, alongside their parents. They insist that the director was appointed under threats from the governor. Classes have yet to resume.
