50 People Dead in Ghana Bus Collision
A fire erupted following a collision between two buses in northern Ghana. According to CNN, at least 50 people have died as a result of the incident.
A representative from the African country's police reported that the accident occurred at 1:30 AM local time when two long-distance buses collided on the highway.
The police representative stated that the buses caught fire upon impact. He noted that it is still too early to confirm the exact number of casualties, but reports indicate 50 fatalities so far.
Both vehicles were carrying a total of 100 passengers. It has also been reported that there are a significant number of injuries.
