Updated: There Are Closed and Difficult Roads

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that as of March 21 at 21:00, there are closed and difficult roads in the territory of Armenia.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed only for freight vehicles.

The Sotk-K Divich-Karvachar road is difficult for freight vehicles only.

In the city of Goris in the Syunik region and the area called "Meghri Mountain," there is fog.

Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.

According to the information from the Department of Roads of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles.

Construction Works Underway

Construction works are being carried out on the section of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi road from km 39 to Bagratashen.

Alternative routes for transportation have been established as follows:

• Transport vehicles entering the cities of Alaverdi, Vanadzor, and nearby communities should follow:
• Vanadzor-Stepanavan-Agarak-Koghes-Aygehate-Odzun-Alaverdi through the road segments leading to the Georgian border.

Since June 30, 2018, until March 21 of this year, construction work has been ongoing at the 139th km of the Yerevan-Meghri road, resulting in a section of about 200 meters being closed in one direction.
