Malatia-Sebastia Leader Lacks Higher Education and Cannot Hold the Position, Khajakyan

The head of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district, Davit Karapetyan, does not have a higher education; therefore, he does not have the right to occupy this position. This was reported by Davit Khajakyan, the head of the ‘Luminous’ faction of the Yerevan City Council, on his Facebook page.

“During the City Council meeting held on March 19, I presented the disputed remark about the head of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district to the head of the education, culture, and sports department, requesting that he monitor the legality of the process.

I told the Mayor that it is evident that the district head is specifically trying to dismiss the head of the department.

On the day of my questioning, Davit Karapetyan issued a second, severe remark to the employee...

Trying to understand what knowledge the district head possesses to give two remarks to a public servant for the same case, I discovered that Mr. Karapetyan, occupying an administrative position, apparently lacks higher education and thus does not have the right to hold this position according to the ‘Public Service Law’.

(Presumably, this is the reason why his biography is absent from the mayor's website).
