Entrepreneur Providing Funeral Services Caused 4.5 Million Dram Damage to the State; Criminal Case Launched by the Tax Authority

The Criminal Investigation Department of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia has initiated a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 315 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.

According to shamshyan.com, this criminal case was opened based on reports of official forgery or negligence.

Officials from the State Revenue Committee discovered that from 2016 to 2019, individual entrepreneur Arayik Khachatryan provided civil funeral services at the address 69/2 Bagratuniats Street without the necessary permits and without paying local taxes. However, responsible officials tasked with overseeing such activities displayed negligent and careless attitudes towards the service.

As a result of their failure to fulfill their duties, the state has suffered a damage of 4 million 500 thousand drams.
