Demonstrators Demand Meeting Only with Prime Minister

Employees of pawnshops and currency exchange points are demanding a revision of the upcoming amendments to the Republic of Armenia's law on state duties in front of the government. As previously reported, according to the draft, the state duty for the aforementioned entities will increase sixty-fold.

They demand to meet only with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and refuse to meet with anyone else. One of the participants in the protest stated during a conversation with journalists, “The rest are just putting soft pillows under our heads; we only demand a meeting with the Prime Minister. Until our issue is resolved today, we will not leave in front of the government.”
