Car Falls into Arzni-Shamirjan Canal; Injuries Reported
On March 19, at 20:51, the 911 service received information about a traffic accident near the Arzni-Shamirjan canal in the Kotayk region, and that assistance from rescuers was needed.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that a firefighting and rescue unit has been dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that a "Lada Priora" vehicle (driver's details have not been established) had veered off the roadway and overturned into the Arzni-Shamirjan canal at the end of Shiraz street in Yegvard.
Before the rescuers arrived at the scene, the passengers of the vehicle, R.M., A.M., and H.H., were extracted by civilians and transported to Nairi Medical Center. Subsequently, R.M. and A.M. were hospitalized at Armenia Medical Center in Yerevan. Doctors have assessed the injured individuals' health condition as satisfactory.
Rescuers have disconnected the vehicle from power.
