The Driver of ‘Hayincasacia’ Disappears with $20,000
Law enforcement officials have determined that a significant theft in Gyumri was committed by an employee of the company ‘Hayincasacia’, specifically the driver of the vehicle in question. Two other employees of the company were also in the vehicle at the time. This information has been reported by armeniasputnik.
According to the news outlet, the employees were transporting money from banks to the vehicle while the driver waited inside the cabin. It is presumed that during the waiting period, when the driver was alone in the vehicle, he took the money from the bag and replaced it with bundles of labels, creating the impression that there was cash in the bag.
Reports indicate that on the day of the incident, March 19, the driver left work early, claiming that one of his children was feeling unwell, and he needed to rush home. He did not show up for work the following day either. It was revealed that on the day he left work early, he did go home, but left during the night. The police in Gyumri are currently searching for him.
It’s worth mentioning that earlier reports indicated that on March 19, the employees of ‘Hayincasacia’ transported $20,000 in cash to the ‘Shirak’ branch of ‘Akba-Credit-Agricole’ bank. The cash was placed in a sealed bag. Upon delivery to the bank, an employee noticed that the seal and the bag’s ties were damaged. Upon opening the bag, it became evident that there was no cash inside. The person who stole the $20,000 had instead placed bundles of currency labels marked with ‘Haybiznesbank’ in the bag.
