KamAZ Overturned on Nissan: Eyewitness Shares Details of Major Accident Involving Armenians in Russia
On March 9, a tragic accident occurred in the Russian Federation where a KamAZ truck overturned onto a Nissan Teanna with Armenian license plates. An eyewitness provided details of the incident to NEWS.am.
"I was passing through that road at the time, as I live in the city of Khimki. Traffic on the Leningrad highway was stopped for about 2 hours, the road was closed on both sides because the KamAZ truck had overturned on the Nissan Teanna, spilling sand onto the vehicle. Four ambulances were on standby at the scene, and numerous rescuers were present. It was a very unfortunate incident, and it was impossible that there were no casualties from this accident," the eyewitness stated in an interview with the news agency.
It is noted that on March 9 at 11:00, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia received information from the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations that around 06:20, a traffic accident occurred near building number 208 on the Leningrad highway in Khimki city involving a Nissan Teanna and a KamAZ vehicle.
As a result of the accident, the passengers of the Nissan Teanna, who were citizens of Armenia, Roman Baghdasaryan (born in 1978) and Mkrtich Hovhnikyan (born in 1982), died at the scene, while Karen Hoveyan (born in 1983) was transported to the clinical hospital in Khimki with bodily injuries before the rescuers arrived.
It should be noted that the deceased, Roman Baghdasaryan, was a resident of Yerevan, while Mkrtich Hovhnikyan was a resident of Ararat city.
