Extraordinary Incident: 30-Year-Old Man Stabbed and Taken to Hospital from Nightclub

Today, on March 9, a fight and stabbing occurred in the Kotayk region. Around 01:20, the Charentsavan medical center reported to the Charentsavan police department that a young man had been admitted with a "stab wound to the left thigh." According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a police operational team headed by a community police officer was dispatched to the hospital.

The police found that the victim is a 30-year-old resident of Charentsavan, David Sahakyan, who informed the doctors that he sustained the injury after falling outside. Meanwhile, while the medical team was addressing the victim's health issues, Charentsavan police officers discovered that earlier that same night, around 01:00, a quarrel had taken place between Sahakyan and a fellow resident, 29-year-old Gegham Sargsyan, in the area of the "Ray" nightclub located on Yerevan Street in Charentsavan, during which Sargsyan had stabbed D. Sahakyan with a knife he had.
