Car Falls Into Ravine: Rescuers on Site
On March 9, at 18:13, the "911" service received a call about a car that had fallen into a ravine near the "Jaghats" restaurant in the village of Norashenik, Syunik Province. Rescuers were needed at the scene.
A firefighting and rescue team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations dispatched one operational unit to the location.
Upon arrival, it was determined that a "Mercedes E 200" (driver: G. B., born in 1994) had gone off the road on the 18th km of the Kapan-Norashenik highway and fell approximately 50 meters into a ravine. The driver and passengers A. Y. (born in 1995) and A. G. (born in 1996) sustained various bodily injuries.
Before the rescuers arrived, bystanders managed to extricate the injured from the vehicle, and they were taken to the Kapan Medical Center, where doctors assessed their condition as moderately serious.
The rescuers disconnected the vehicle's battery and closed the gas cylinder valve.
