Misappropriation of 3.5 million drams at the Odzun community administration
The Department for Combating Corruption and Economic Crimes of the Police's Main Directorate for the Fight Against Organized Crime received information from the National Security Service that there were abuses at the Odzun community administration.
As a result of cooperation between the Lori regional police department and the Tumanyan division, it was clarified that the director of the "Odzun Communal Services and Improvement" State Non-Commercial Organization formally employed his son and also seven other residents of the same community during 2017-2018. These individuals did not attend work, and the salaries issued in their names, amounting to a total of 3 million 600 thousand drams, were misappropriated.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the misappropriation or waste of large sums of money and official forgery, and an investigation is underway.
