I Clarified My Words to Their Political Elite: Ruben Hakobyan's Explanation
Artist and songwriter Ruben Hakobyan has commented on the controversial statements he made regarding the Armenian community in Artsakh during a video message.
"If the question is about the Armenians living in Artsakh, I have nothing against them. I directed my words towards their political elite," Hakobyan clarified.
He added that if someone has interpreted his words differently, that is their problem.
It is noteworthy that Ruben Hakobyan spoke about the Armenian community in Artsakh while being a guest on Hamlet Ghushchyan's show "Open Day." He specifically stated, "The politics of flattery continues among the Artsakh people; this is a characteristic of the Azerbaijanis. They are, after all, Azerbaijanis; they grew up in an Azerbaijani environment, and that influence will take another 50 years to cleanse from the people of Nagorno-Karabakh. We must look truth in the face."
